Our entire festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, including performance area, food vendors and washrooms.
Our 2016 hotel partner is the Atlantica Hotel, located 500m from our festival grounds. Discount rooms are still available HERE.
We have also partnered with Dalhousie University to provide budget dorm rooms from single beds to 4 bedroom suites. Rooms still available HERE.
Our main stage and festival grounds are 19+, however we have two free all ages shows for attendees under 19. Info is HERE.
Our bar program will be run by Stillwell featuring numerous local and national draught beer taps, alongside Nova Scotian spirits. There will be one main draught and spirits bar, a VIP bar area, as well as a handful of satellite can bars to alleviate line strain.
Ace Burger will be in the main performance area serving up their award winning burgers, as well as T-Dogs and Food Wolf in the vendor area. From what we are told, there will be vegetarian and gluten free options.
Our festival is conveniently located at 1855 Trollope Street, near downtown Halifax, on the grounds of Spatz Theatre/Citadel High School. Our grounds will contain a performance tent, vendor and food areas, as well as bars run by Stillwell. Our total site capacity will be under 2000.
Please contact Trevor Murphy for media accreditation - firstname.lastname@example.org
Our festival grounds will be controlled by Shadow Security and the Halifax Regional Police department. Valid ID is required for entry and we recommend bringing 2 pieces of ID for proof of identity. Bag checks are mandatory on entry into the festival. Re-entry is allowed, however you will have to show your ID and have your bag checked each time.
We are still looking for a few more food and apparel vendors to be on site during our 3 day festival. Please contact email@example.com if you are interested.
We are currently accepting volunteers for 2016. Please email your name, age, phone number and experience to firstname.lastname@example.org
Gridlock is proud to be bottled water free. We will have numerous free water and cup stations throughout the festival grounds.
